Ammar H. Hanafi
Alloy Ventures
Ammar H. Hanafi joined Alloy Ventures as a general partner in 2005. At Alloy, he focuses on investments in communications and IT infrastructure, as well as internet-enabled consumer and enterprise applications and services. Ammar has over a decade of financial and operational management experience in the communications and technology industry. He previously served as vice president of new business ventures at Cisco Systems, where he led new product efforts in the enterprise datacenter market. From 2000 to 2002, he was vice president of corporate business development, and in that capacity, he was responsible for Cisco’s acquisitions, acquisition integration, investment, and joint venture activity on a global basis. During Ammar’s tenure at Cisco, he helped the company complete over 100 investment and M&A transactions, including 50 successful acquisitions and over $750 million in venture capital investments. Prior to Cisco, Ammar held leadership positions at PanAmSat Corp., a global satellite services provider, and the investment banking firms of Morgan Stanley and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. In addition to Infineta Systems, Ammar serves on the board of directors of 3Leaf Systems, YouSENDit, Retrevo, Mavenir Systems, Cortina Systems, GigaOM, Teleplace, and Moxsie. Ammar also serves on the board of the non-profits: Silicon Valley Education Foundation and SF Camerawork. Ammar received a BS in Applied and Engineering Physics from Cornell University (1988) and an MBA from Stanford University (1995).
Paul A. Santinelli
North Bridge Venture Partners
Paul Santinelli joined the team at North Bridge Venture Partners in 2005, focusing on investments in open source, software, security, internet applications and infrastructure and communications. Previously, he served as director of Red Hat Network and was responsible for product definition, strategy, engineering, product management, marketing and lifecycle management for the company’s flagship software services offering. Paul also served as the director of global information systems and technology during his tenure at Red Hat. Prior to Red Hat, Paul was founder and CEO of NOCpulse, Inc., a Silicon Valley software startup focused on delivering the next generation enterprise systems management platform. NOCpulse was acquired by Red Hat in October 2002. While at NOCpulse, Paul was nominated for the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2002. Before founding NOCpulse, Paul was chief technology officer of Global Center and VP of technology for Global Crossing, a telecommunications company that built and operated the world’s first independent global fiber optic network. During the past twelve years, Paul has held various engineering, product management and marketing positions in companies including Red Hat, IBM, Lotus Development and Compuware. Prior to North Bridge, Paul served on the advisory boards of Arrowpoint Communications (acquired by Cisco), Inflow, Kiva Software (acquired by Netscape), Mobility.net (acquired by Software.com) and One Secure (acquired by Netscreen). Paul received a B.S. from Emerson College in Boston.

In Sik brings 18 years of experience as an entrepreneur, advisor, and investor across a broad spectrum of technology enabled markets. Prior to joining Rembrandt, In Sik spent two years as a Venture Partner at Accel Partners. There he helped identify new investment opportunities and served as an advisor or board member to various portfolio companies. As an entrepreneur, In Sik co-founded two successful venture-backed companies. He was a Co-Founder and Chief Tactician at Opsware (Nasdaq: OPSW), formerly Loudcloud, which was acquired Hewlett Packard for US$1.6 billion in 2007. In this role, he helped guide the evolution of the data center automation product category and also spearheaded several successful acquisitions. In Sik brings 18 years of experience as an entrepreneur, advisor, and investor across a broad spectrum of technology enabled markets. Prior to Opsware, In Sik co-founded Kiva Software Corporation, a pioneer of the Application Server middleware market. There, he architected and developed one of industry's first Java application servers, deployed by customers such as E-Trade and Bank of America. Kiva was acquired by Netscape Communications in 1997 for US$180 million. In Sik holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California at Berkeley, where he also serves on the Executive Advisory Board for the College of Engineering and the Advisory Board for the Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology.
Ashok Krishnamurthi
Xsigo Systems
Ashok Krishnamurthi is a co-founder of Xsigo Systems and serves as Executive Chairman. Mr. Krishnamurthi has over 20 years of experience in management and engineering. Prior to Xsigo, he held the positions of Vice President and General Manager of the Infrastructure Product Line at Juniper Networks. Mr. Krishnamurthi has also held engineering and management positions at Sun Microsystems, Philips, Xerox PARC, and AT&T Bell Labs. He has a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University, and a BS from Manipal, India.
Raj Kanaya
CEO and Co-Founder
Raj Kanaya brings a long track record of general management and market development success to Infineta Systems. As CEO, Raj is responsible for the overall vision, direction, and revenue attainment for the company. Previously, Raj was VP of product strategy and alliances for the Application Networking Group at Citrix Systems. He joined Citrix though its acquisition of NetScaler where he served as VP of product management for a product line that went from sub-$2 million to $60+ million in revenues over three years. Raj was a GM of a BU at Lucent and led business development at Nexsi Systems. Earlier in his career, he was a Bain & Co. consultant where he advised large companies in technology and LBO funds on turnarounds, new market entries, and acquisitions/divestitures. Raj has an M.B.A. from Stanford University and earned his B.S. in computer science magna cum laude from UCSD.
K.V.S. Ramarao, Ph.D.
CTO and Co-Founder
As Chief Technology Officer, Ram is responsible for the company’s technical vision, research, and overall product architecture. He is a highly published innovator and entrepreneur with numerous patents, research papers, and industry standards credited to his name. Prior to Infineta, Dr. Ramarao served as Chief Platform Architect for the Application Oriented Networking BU at Cisco Systems. He brings three decades of experience in R&D and successfully bringing high performance systems to market. Previously, he was founder and CTO of both Conformative Systems (acquired by Intel) and Sariga Networks. Earlier in his career, Dr. Ramarao held senior technical positions at Agere and SBC Labs and was an assistant professor of computer science at the University of Pittsburgh and University of Oklahoma prior to that. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Alberta, Canada, M.Tech from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, and M.Sc. from Andhra University, India.
