“Infineta's DMS provides enterprise level optimization to satisfy the growing data-hungry replication between data centers. ESG Lab's tests revealed impressive acceleration and data reduction for bandwidth intensive applications. With a design that is simple to deploy in the data center and at a cost that is a fraction of other solutions, Infineta has made a powerful entry into the WAN optimization market.”
Ginny Roth, CISSP, Engineer and Analyst, ESG Lab
“Supporting massive volumes of inter-data center traffic generated by critical applications such as replication requires large WAN connections, often spanning significant distances. Moving large amounts of traffic over a high capacity WAN can be expensive and consuming, increasing the importance of high-speed data reduction and transport optimization.”
Joe Skorupa, Research Vice President of Data Center Transformation and Security, Gartner Research
“ESG Lab was very impressed with Infineta’s Data Mobility Switch. Our testing confirmed that Infineta is more than capable of satisfying the most demanding high-bandwidth, low latency replication, migration, and server mobility needs between data centers. Organizations looking to optimize inter-data center communication would be smart to take a look at the Data Mobility Switch.”
Tony Palmer, Senior Engineer and Analyst, ESG Lab
“Infineta Systems’ experienced management team is developing a new class of WAN optimization appliances that will help organizations deal with the growing bandwidth consumption associated with data replication. The company has differentiated itself from existing WAN optimization players with its scalable, purpose-built hardware that can tackle multi-gigabit links found at service providers and the high end of the enterprise. With interest in cloud storage growing at a rapid rate, Infineta’s appliances will allow customers to push vast quantities of data out to remote sites.”
Henry Baltazar, Sr. Analyst for Storage & Systems, the451 Group
"WAN optimization was an entire new-class of products that were successful in helping customers deliver application and file access across the WAN for protocols originally intended for LAN-delivery. Now, Infineta is working on accelerating the fast, complete delivery of critical, latency sensitive inter-data center applications written for the WAN. The ability to accelerate WAN-tuned traffic will yield cost savings for customers because this traffic is growing fast and cannot be compromised."
Deni Connor, Principal Analyst, StorageStrategies NOW
“The explosion of data center-to-data center traffic has put an increased burden upon the network resources, both WAN and LAN, that support that traffic. The new inter-data center network must be more dynamic and coordinated with one pool of resources to create a more reliable network fabric The Infineta solution will meet the speed and throughput requirements cost efficiently as well as creating a reliable inter-data center fabric that builds upon the existing network infrastructure.”
David Mesabi, Principal, Mesabi Group
"Today, long distance live migration (such as VMotion) is in its infancy as customers and vendors alike are getting more clarity around the high network performance demands and limiting WAN characteristics for this emerging traffic type. What is clear, however, is that there are physical barriers that must be hurdled cleanly if customers are to realistically deploy such a powerful capability in their networks. Typically, the entire latency budget between two servers participating in long distance live migration is around 5-6 milliseconds. Whatever means you employ to perform long distance live migration must not introduce additional latency into the workflow because it will break or disrupt the continuity of services. Enterprises will need to find ways to optimize this latency-sensitive workflow while remaining within the necessary latency budget. Infineta offers a promising new innovation that fits these parameters with their Velocity Dedupe Engine technology."
