Infineta Systems Named One of ‘25 New IT Companies to Watch’ by Network World

Startup Also Listed As ‘Top 10 Networking Company in US’ by SiliconIndia

San Jose, Calif. November 11, 2010 Infineta Systems today announced that it has been recognized by IDG’s Network World magazine as one of "25 New IT Companies to Watch" for 2010. In selecting the top 25 new IT companies, Network World focused on innovative startups that "are attempting to fuel the shift from static IT infrastructures to virtualized data centers and cloud networks," calling them "the next generation of IT vendors."

Network World noted that Infineta is using a revolutionary new de-duplication algorithm and other optimization techniques to increase WAN capacity by 5x or more. The end result is a reduced WAN footprint that, in turn, enables customers to defer very expensive multi-gigabit bandwidth upgrades while improving the performance and reliability of current inter-data center WAN workflows.

Additionally, SiliconIndia magazine named Infineta as one of the “Top 10 Networking Companies” in the US on its 13th annual si100 List – recognizing the top 100 technology companies founded and managed by Indians in the U.S.

“We’re entering an era of massive shifts in the way IT is perceived by enterprises. Underpinning this transformation to an ‘IT-as-a-service’ model is a network architecture that requires a very high-speed inter-data center WAN. Infineta’s products provide that strategic accelerated WAN,” said Raj Kanaya, co-founder and CEO, Infineta. “That’s among the reasons why customers, partners, press and industry analysts are excited about Infineta. We are thrilled by the recognition.”
